Back from my class chalet... So tired. Got so many emails to check the moment I opened my mailbox...Most of them are junk. After checking my mails, I slept all the way till 6pm. Anyway, let me talk about the chalet. The chalet was fun initially. Full of expectations, full of excitement. Haha...That is, until I gave $6 I owed Eugene, $20 for the class chalet, $10 on a present in which the Bdae gal didnt turn up to get it. Grrr... That left me with...hm...$20? Then I spent most of them on food and playing pool. My pool stilled sucked. Haha.. Bummer....
DAY 1.
Woke up at 8am, checked my email, had my breakfast, left the house at 10.30am. Went to CauseWay Point for lunch even though it was only 11.30am coz I couldn't care less and I was still hungry. Met Ranjana and Rusydi at 12.30pm, headed straight to Pasir Ris. Met Kenneth and Eugene there. From there, we headed to Coasta Sands Resort, Checked in at 2.20pm. Slacked around in the room, discussing the budget for the BBQ. Parted, with tears in my eyes, my 2 precious $10 note. Introduced to an addictive game by Kenneth, in which we spent 2/3 of each day flicking it, bopping it, twisting it, pulling it. Oh wait...and spinning it. Guess wad it is yourself. After discussing the BBQ, we went to buy the BBQ stuff, which amounts to $80+. Woa. Pinky came soon after. For dinner, we had Burgers and KFC chicken while other people were busy playing with fire and inhaling BBQ smoke and laughing like hyenas. In short, We had Burger Q, while they had BBQ. At 10pm, we went down to the beach. The sky was full of stars, we could see the Singapore harbour. It was quite serene. Haha. Went back to our room after a walking around the beach. Slept at 3am. Haha!
DAY 2.
I woke up at 6.30am. Couldn't sleep after that, coz the aircon was too cold. Went down to the beach, armed with my digi camera. Wanted to take the sunrise, but, oh well...The sky was blue by the time I was at the beach. Went back to the chalet, then we went for breakfast. Then we went down to the beach again. Played with the sand, ended up building an ant hole.(We actually wanted to make a sand castle) Met up with Jess and Ling Fang at the beach... We went back to the chalet to thaw and marinate the chicken, Mairah, Taufiq and Erna came while we were marinating the chicken. After that, we went to play soccer with a bunch of kids... But they were fast, and they are defintely a better player than I am. Haha! After that, the guys-us- went to play pool. Haha...Got thrashed by Eugene again. Damn him. =p During the BBQ, a lot of catching up were done, laughing, eating, cooking, fanning... Haha! We got to thank Taufiq for everything though. He's the expert on BBQ! Haha. He did all the preparations, we are grateful to him for that, if not we would take an hour just to start the fire... After the BBQ, most of them went back home, leaving us-Me, Kenneth, Rusydi, Pinky, Ranjana and Ling Fang. We went to the beach, yet again. Played "Truth or Dare" for awhile. Then we got bored of it and went back. *zzzzz*
DAY 3.
Woke up at 8, packed our things and freshen up. Then we returned all the BBQ utensils back to the chalet... Then we checked out at 10... We had breakfast at Mcdonalds at Pas Ris central, then we left for home. I had a direct route all the way to home. Whee! Haha...
Well, thats that. Frankly, I feel that this chalet holds sentimental value to me. This chalet represents the 115 bond, and the joys and sorrows that we have all endured. It will also be the last time that Me, Kenneth, Rusydi, Rauzan and Pinky could join them as a class. The last time that we will study with them, to join them in class activities, to laugh, joke, cry, smile, as a whole, as part of the 115 family. There's a quote: Whenever there's a beginning, there's an end. I guess our ending came 1 year earlier. May those who are promoted excell in their A levels next year. All the way...
Destiny... Lately I have been thinking about it. The so-called divine thing that binds us to this world. Something that pulls at us. That stays with us. Something that guides us. I sort of believe in it. On the other hand, I don't. Why? Because I hate the feeling of being controlled. That no matter what I do, I can't contol my own future. So, it all bogs down to this: To believe, or not to believe? What if it really controls us? What if every option, every choice we make, will make no difference because we will ultimately come to the same ending? If it really does, then we should all just let ourselves go, because no matter what, our destiny will make sure that everything is guided. And perhaps, we won't need to have any ambitions, because we will be what we will be in the future. Choice, will be a useless thing. Choice is freedom. Without choice, we are without freedom. If destiny doesn't exist, then everything will be the opposite. We have freedom, we can control our own future, we
make our own future. One can't help but think; which scenario exists? Then it struck me. There could be a third possibility. Maybe destiny is neither, but a combination of both scenarios. Maybe destiny is made up along the way. There's a saying, The future is always in motion. Nothing is certain. Maybe every step we make, every choice we make, will slowly determine the kind of destiny that we will arrive at. Our path. I choose to believe in this. Then again, perhaps there are no such scenarios. So what if a thing such as Destiny exist? So what if we doesn't? The thing is, we will
never know how our future will turn out. We are not born with knowledge of our future in our minds. That being said, it is very difficult to determine such a thing as destiny, because we have no real evidence to proof it. Sure, you can say that destiny made you the way you are now, but another guy could also say that the choices he make in the past and present led him to who he is now. Which of these is correct? How would we ever know? The world is full of mysteries and uncertainties. Nothing is certain. Haha... Destiny...
