Dad and I went to buy a new com from the IT show at Singapore Expo today. Very happy with our decision.. New com coming in within the next 7 to 14 days. Haha. Before we finally decided on the com to buy, we had a few adventures at the IT show.
Episode 1:
Woke up early in the morning on Thursday. Slacked till late afternoon. The End.
Episode 2:
Went with dad to the IT show. Reached there at 6.30pm. Explored the place, came across a real cheap deal, an Athlon 64 CPU, with 256MB RAM, ati radeon xpress 200, for only $899. O_OFor those who doesn't know, AMD 64 is the latest processor chip of AMD, and is optimised to run softwares at 64 bit. Currently windows are running only at 32bit. And---ah wad the heck, juz know that AMD 64 is gd. So yea, the processor is gd, but the RAM and graphic card sux. Went searching again, came across some really cool DELL coms. But the prices are a little high up there... They were selling Intel Dual Core chips--again, juz need to know that its faster than your brain--- with some wonderful bao ka liao specs at $1599. O_O' So dad and I brainstormed, and decided to get the AMD one coz it is cheap, and also, i can upgrade it nxt time. Decided to come bacj another day to buy it. The end.
Episode 3:
Wake up, eat, slp, the end.
Episode 4:
Dad decided to go for the DELL computer coz he decided to go really high end, and since it is a bao ka liao com, there's no need to upgrade com for at least 5 years. So decided to get the com on the last day, hoping they slash the price some more. the end.
Episode 5:
Woke up early in the morning to jog. Came back at 9.30am. Dad suddenly decided to get the AMD one, coz it would last even longer than 5 years, coz in the future softwares would be running at 64bit, blah blah blah. Fine. Went there in the afternoon. Dad again changes his mind, and wanted to go for the PLUTO desktop PC. O_o'' So we went to talk to the guy, blah blah blah. Dad wasnt satisfied, so he went exploring the place yet again. Can't find anymore coms, he went back to the AMD stall. Bargained at full throttle, in the end, we decided to upgrade the $899 package to $1373. Upgrades include changing RAM from 256 to 1GB. From a 80GB hard drive to 160GB. CRT monitor to 17inch LCD flat screen. We gt a DVD writer, and some unknown sound speakers FREE. Hooray to Dad's bargaining skills. I think. The end.
